Rather than post a new designer or illustrator i’ve found, I thought I’d just post some links to the sites of some people I respect and admire. It’s not comprehensive, I’m sure i’ll revisit it when my memory catches up, and obviously some of these people are dead so don’t expect their site to be recently updated…
I always find colour difficult to work with and as such I tend to be a little in awe of those who use it well. I’m also a little in awe of those who don’t use it at all and still make interesting and engaging work. Ok, this is something a little jaw dropping to me, obsessive drawing is one of my little button pushers as far as my tastes go and this is pretty much up there for that. The artists name is “Blu”. From Wooster Collective More photos on their site.
From Highsnobiety I found these particularly interesting necklaces by Surface to Air. Sterling silver coated in heavy duty rubber. A bit too neu rave for me to wear them but they’re great little art pieces. Available from Hint
