Just watching the news and there was talk of solar farms in Africa. I’d heard of them before and had wondered why they hadn’t been mooted as a solution to not only the world energy crisis but also Africas poverty crisis. Seems they had. Below is an excerpt from an old Guardian article (link) that discusses the technology but you can also find a selection of sites talking more about the poverty side of it.

A couple of videos today, firstly via Computerlove comes the trailer for Michel Gondry’s new film “Be Kind, Rewind”starring Jack Black and Mos Def. I’ll admit I haven’t seen Science of Sleep but this looks much more accessable to me.
